This was an easy read that I enjoyed. I wouldn’t say I loved it, but I definitely liked it. I would recommend this to someone who enjoys sports romance! This book revolves around social media which I usually hate in books, but I thought it actually worked well and didn’t annoy me. Also there were a lot of fun/cute scenes that I haven’t seen in other books which was nice. Overall, I wouldn’t rave about this book, but I did like it.
I LOVED Meet Your Match!
Vince and Maven had some hot witty banter, sexual tension and explosive chemistry, and swoon-worthy moments, and Vince is the perfect guy. I will kneel for this man.
As part of her first exclusive gig at the Tampa Bae Babes, Maven will be spending a month with HOT Vince Tanev, Tampa's hottest rookie.
In light of the fact that her ex was also an athlete and he broke her heart, she is not thrilled about this assignment.
Vince is up to the challenge, and he can't wait for her to eat her words because she has just met her match.
Things heat up between these two, and Maven is torn because of her past relationship. She wants to pump the breaks and just keep it casual. Vince respects her boundaries and listens to her, despite wanting to move forward with their relationship, but how long can he last?
Oh, my heart. Vince was just so kind, caring, and thoughtful with the things he said and did for her. She is missing her home, her bed, and her plant babies, and he buys her a freaking indoor garden. He is swoon-worthy and the perfect book boyfriend.
The spice doesn’t hit until about the 50% mark, but when it does, oh wow, is it hot! She definitely brought the heat. I loved it. Now normally I'm like, Give me the spice right away, but I didn't even mind because their banter had me so engrossed in the story. These two are hilarious. I found myself chuckling so many times.
Don't forget the bonus scene, because it was HOT.

Another awesome sports romance from Kandi!
This may be my favorite book she’s ever written!
Maven has been tasked with managing social media for Tampa’s newest hotshot hockey rookie, Vince. At first, she think he’s like all the other rich athletes and can’t stand him. He thinks she’s gorgeous and he wants her. The forced proximity and the steam was so good. The moments when they would get jealous were so hot. Loved how Vince understood Maven had been hurt before and he was patient. The conflict was short and resolved easily. I’m already excited for the next in this new hockey series!

This was a treat to read... high 4.5 stars for Maven & Vince.
Vince is young - I'm not sure his age is mentioned but I think he's 23? He's in his first year in the NHL and on a trajectory to be one of the best.
Maven was raised by free spirit parents who thought it was most important to give back to the world, so she grew up with little, but enough. She was heartbroken by her college boyfriend/fiancé (who wanted to be a famous golfer) when his rich family made it clear that she'd never fit in. I thought she held on to that heartache much longer than necessary, especially since it made it nearly impossible for her to admit that her feelings for Vince - who is also a nearly famous athlete - are real and worth exploring.
While she does her social media job of following him through the first half of his rookie season in the pros, they give in to their attraction and it's pretty hot/steamy/spicy throughout. But while he's holding back his feelings for her, she seems willing to give him just about anything except her heart.
I really liked Vince - he figured out early what he had to do to keep Maven in his life and stuck to that plan until the inevitable 3rd act breakup which is mercifully brief. Maven finally realizes that she needed to completely let go of the first jerk if she ever wants to open her heart to the possibility of love and forever.

It was a decent book. I wish there was more romance than smut but I know Steiner writes what she knows. I wouldn’t recommend, though I probably will read the next book.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Another Kandi Steiner staple! I may be a little biased because Ms. Steiner could sell her grocery list, and I'd buy it without hesitation.
I absolutely loved the plot of this book; the idea of this modern-day journalist creating content solely based on Tampa's hotshot rookie. It was giving Clay and Giana with a mixture of Zeke and Riley (IYKYK).
The banter was A+! No one writes angst quite like Kandi. I was just WAITING for these two to give into their undeniable chemistry. The spice? Even better.
Vince Tanev was smooth AF. I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor with some of the stuff that came out that man's mouth. Whether it was banter or dirty talk, he was Putting. It. Down. He was coming for Leo's spot in my top fave Kandi men. He was sweet, caring, and generous, yet possessive, determined, and confident. I completely fell in love with him, and if Maven wasn't going to jump on him, I was

This one wasn't for me. I found the back and forth dragged out for so long. I got sick of them getting together and then them saying it was a one time thing, again and again. I didn't love them using other people to make each other jealous. I wasn't into the backstabbing, or the way that the heroine's breakup with her ex was made into a mountain of a big deal when I personally didn't feel the experience justified using it as a continuous excuse of why the love interests couldn't make any progress together.
