Not my favorite book from Kandi Steiner. But still an enjoyable read.

But…. After years why did Maven still have a box of memories from her previous relationship… I just found that odd.
emotional medium-paced

If Kandi Steiner writes it, then I'm going to read it. I devoured this book in a weekend!

Meet Your Match is a hockey romance, which is one of my favorites genres. This book is a slow burn but it is totally worth it when the spice hits! Vince has become one of my top sports MMC. Vince and Maven have great tension and banter which eventually leads to more.

Maven does social media and her new assignment is following rookie star Vince for one month with 24/7 access. Maven is very protective of her heart after her break up with another hockey player. Vince is attracted to her from the start and he doesn't hide how he feels about her. The more time they spend together the more tension builds between them until it finally combusts in the best way possible.

I love the character development in this story and how much Maven grows and discovers who she is in the month she spends with Vince. I will say at first I thought she was judgmental but as the story develops you discover how badly her heart was broken in the past. I loved Vince from the very beginning, he met her where she was and supported her. Highly recommend!

Kandi Steiner is an auto buy author for me, I will eat up everything she writes and when I heard she was starting a hockey series? I knew I would love it and I sure did.

I loved every single thing about this book! The banter was perfect, the spice was *chefs kiss* it literally had my neck and cheeks heating it was so hot

Even though I specifically sought out this book because of its trope (journalist x athlete) it wasn’t really it. I really liked the first half of the book where the theme of her doing a story about him was more prominent. It also wasn’t really like she is a reporter but more of a content creator about news which isn’t really what I wanted in the first place. But it quickly faded and the story did not have any plot without it.
The setting was also not really great. I just can’t bring Florida (or any other warm place) and hockey together. It just didn’t have that magic. There was also not really an established friend group for the fun vibe.
The ending with the proposal was terrible and I really want to erase that scene from my brain. Who comes up with that and thinks that is a good idea?

I think this series has so much potential! I loved the team dynamic… I’ll wait patiently for Daddy P’s book because you know that’s gonna be good

Great sport romance read and I like that it’s a stand alone that’s part of a universe of characters so I’m excited to read the rest of the books.

I had been looking forward to this one for a while and i enjoyed this sports romance, told in dual pov between Maven and Vince.

I enjoyed the forced proximity of one as we watch Maven follow Vince and his life for a month to try and give insight into him to get more fans involved in the team and their games as he is the new rookie player.

Playboy Vince is epic on the ice and is attracted to Maven straight away but she is more reserved, her job assignment is to follow him 24/7 and she seems him for what she thinks he is.

As they spend more and more time together Maven realises there is much more to him than she thought there was and I loved his view that no one touches his girl.

Loved the spicy scenes and this had great characters within the team which I would love to see get their stories and the coach too. Yes please.

A great romance and enjoyed it 100%!!!

I absolutely LOVED this book. The banter and tension were perfection, and I love a good workplace romance. The only part that rubbed me the wrong way, (spoilers) was when Vince was constantly using other women to make Maven jealous. I personally am not a huge fan of that being used in books, but like I said that’s a personal thing. I did absolutely fall in love with the team dynamic, and can tell this is a great start to a new hockey romance series!
