i had such a good time reading this! I love a hockey romance, Maven and Vince’s characters were so fun to read about, and the side characters brought everything together so well. The social media premise was interesting and I loved it for the most part- became too unprofessional in Maven’s opinion at times which rubbed me the wrong way when Vince would push it. This, combined with Maven’s hesitancy to jump into something with Vince due to her past and then switching up quickly with barely any reason to (after that stupid jealousy stunt) made me drop this to 4⭐️s. Still a great book and I cannot wait to continue with the series
I love bitchy characters. What I don't like is judgy bitches. Rather, I don't like bitchy-ness where the character doesn't own it. And that is Maven King. As Vince so rightly calls her, she is a brat. Even worse, she is aware of that and that she is acting a certain way because of trauma in her past, yet she still treats Vince like shit. I would object at their wedding.

The hockey romance genre just never gets old for me. I absolutely swooned over Vince Tanev. He is what golden retriever book bfs are made of. The story was cute, the banter was fun, the spice was hot🔥 I didn't absolutely love the FMC, the lack of communication kind of got monotonous; but I did love their chemistry. Overall, this was a good time!

This book had so many of the things I LOVE in a lighthearted romance. Lovable main characters, A+ banter, tension, hilarious and intriguing side characters/friend groups, great (non cringey) spice, and a believable third act breakup. This is my first Kandi Steiner and definitely will not be my last!!

Maven has been tasked with managing social media for Tampa’s newest hotshot hockey rookie, Vince. At first, she think he’s like all the other rich athletes and can’t stand him. He thinks she’s gorgeous and he wants her. The forced proximity and the steam was so good. The moments when they would get jealous were so hot. Loved how Vince understood Maven had been hurt before and he was patient. The conflict was short and resolved easily. I’m already excited for the next in this new hockey series!
