If half stars were available I’d give it 4.5. I really really enjoyed this book it was such the perfect sports romance and the way Chapter 35 was written was EVERYTHING. I simply cannot WAIT for the other books in this series!!
I'm excited for the series and all the characters, but this one isn't going to be my absolute favorite.
I loved Vince! Yeah, he wasn't my favorite when trying to make Maven jealous, but I found him to be a good person overall. The way he and Maven met was hilarious, but Maven was extremely stubborn with a lot of assumptions. It didn't paint her in the best light.
Overall, I liked the story and the ending, but I felt like they could have gotten there faster.

DNF after the 1st chapter
Wheww definitely my earliest DNF but life is too short and my TBR is too long to read the first chapter of a book and realize the FMC is a complete asshole who will probably remain that way for next 70% book, to spend time reading that. I understand there will probably be a redemption of some kind along the way, but I could not stand being in her head for any longer. She was self-righteous, rude and straight up mean. No thanks.

The Queen of Angst has done it again! This new book is amazing, and I can't wait to read the entire series. I want everyone's stories!

Now, I know nothing about hockey (I guess I know a little now) but it made no difference to how much this book sucked me in. The forced proximity was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the whole plotline, and all the other tropes, too! I also loved how Maven started out with this perception of Vince, but it didn't take much to prove her wrong.
There are some super sweet moments here, and a lot of spicy ones too. It was a great read, a fantastic start to the series and I'm so excited for the next one!
