Holy mother of spicyness, the spice had spice. I’m not mad about this at all. I just had to press pause while at my daughter’s gymnastics because it felt wrong reading that there, chapter 28 I’m looking at you. 😆😮‍💨

Ok I seriously loved Vince and Maven together. The banter and chemistry and tension? Yes please! They knew how to press each other’s buttons and it was so good! I love that Vince falls first. Gah he is so patient with her (mostly haha). He knows he’s got to work for her and it was beautiful to see him do it. Maven has some baggage and it totally made sense. I loved when she was finally able to push past it!

This was just such a fun read with the layers of more I love! I’m very excited for the next book!  Also the narrators in duet were incredible!

3.5 ish ⭐️ Maven really was annoying at the beginning…Vince was a much more likeable person to me. That’s literally my only complaint though.

This was really more a 3.5⭐️, as it hit right in between my usual 3⭐️ & 4⭐️ rating criteria.

I don’t know how I slept on this series for so long, especially given how much I ADORE hockey romances, but I’m SO glad I finally read this, and can’t wait to read the next two, since I’ve heard they only get better!!

I loved Maven and Vince far more than I expected to, and I adored the way Vince was committed to showing Maven that he was different from her garbage ex, James. I did feel as if James’ brief appearance was left kind of unfinished, though , and I could SWEAR the GM of the Ospreys had the same last name as James??? That sort of felt like an unresolved plot hole, so maybe it will be addressed in later books. 🤷🏻‍♀️
