This book sucked. It dragged on for so long. So many things weren’t explained at the end and were just briefly mentioned. The way he proposed to her, bad. He literally did it while they were doing it like really. Which besides a conversation or two all they did is have sex. They barely had some good genuine conversations. They were mainly about oh I love you and then having sex. They didn’t really have that good of a connection. The plot was just kind of boring. Nothing really happened. It was a classic plot with poor execution. I’m so sad because I love this author but this book was a no for me. I would not recommend. It wasn’t completely bad there were some cute scenes so it’s not a total 1 but still bad. 2/5

This was really good but definitely not Kandi's best. I hope there's an audiobook coming for this book so that hopefully that makes it more digestible for me personally, but as an ebook this book felt a little bit like a haze to me. I loved it while reading it but afterwards I can't recall a single thing about it.
Normally I would find it pretty unacceptable for a MMC to call a FMC a bitch, but in this case it was 100% justified. Maven’s judgmental and holier than thou attitude was so annoying that I despised her the entire time. I also hated that the only drama in the whole book was manufactured by her and the simple fact that she couldn’t get over her own shit. I liked Vince well enough which is the only reason I gave this 2 stars instead on 1.
