Let me start off by saying I almost dnf this book BUT I’m so glad I didn’t because once I got hooked this book became everything I wanted!!

Vince is your hot shot rookie taking the NHL by storm and Maven is the girl who wants nothing to do with him or the world he lives in after getting her heart broken by someone who she thinks is just like him.

Unfortunately her job has her shadowing him 24/7 for the next month & that gives him enough time to prove he is nothing like she thinks.

These two have so much chemistry & tension but Maven does her best to avoid it while Vince pines and waits for the moment she gives in… that moment is just a little bit of jealously on her end and she finally breaks.

I absolutely loved this book. The banter was amazing, the plot took a hold of me and the spice was

It’s Kandi Steiner’s world and I’m just happy to be living in it!
I’m so pleased that Kandi has ventured into the world of hockey because oh my god

kept waiting for this to get better, and it didn’t.

Forced Proximity.
Hockey Romance.

Vince and Maven have an instant connection...whether it's attraction or annoyance at first you don't really know, but you quickly realize their connection is undeniable. Maven's job assigns her to follow Vince around and needless to say she is less than thrilled.

I loved that Vince was a secret softie especially when it came to his girl and his family, but to the public eye he was considered something different. I had a little bit of a hard time with Maven's reservations towards Vince due to her past relationship, but once she opened up about it I understood more.

I can't wait for the other characters to get books because let me tell you the side characters make this book!

I normally love Kandi Steiner’s books, but this one wasn’t doing it for me.

The main conflict (Maven’s ex was a rich asshole, so therefore she thinks all rich people must be assholes) felt drawn out, and made Maven seem unlikeable. Vince was fine, but I also didn’t like him enough to keep reading.

Gonna skip to the next book!
