A satisfying continuation of the Tessa Leoni series. Though I had figured out the major twist in the first third of the book, I still enjoyed the read and the development of the characters. Tessa is not as abrasive as DD Warren (another Gardner protagonist); I look forward to reading the next.
Can’t say the plot line is believable, but I enjoyed the book!
I loved this book and I love Lisa Gardner's writing style. I had an inkling early on who the culprit was. But with all its twists and turns, this book kept me guessing throughout with a great twist at the very end.
I wish we had an option for half stars--I'd give this 1 1/2.
The first 20 or so pages are excruciating because she had to tell rather than show in order to accelerate to the crime. I needed something to entertain me during a sleepless night, so I kept reading. Her writing improved, and I got caught up in the story.
I thought I had enjoyed other mysteries that she had written and then realized I was thinking of Meg Gardner. If anymore of her books are a daily deal on Kindle, I might read another one.

I don't give out 5 stars often, One great book....would make an even better movie!
I really enjoyed this book. A family gets kidnapped for seemingly unknown reasons. Justin Denbe is the CEO of Denbe Construction which specializes in multi-million dollar construction builds (think government contracts). His wife Libby crafts jewelry and their teenage daughter Ashlyn seems to live the dream of a rich teenager.
But this family has secrets. Oh do they have secrets. The tale twists deeper and deeper and around every corner it appears a new secret is uncovered. Are these people even really a family as little as they share with each other?
Great page turning book the likes of which I have come to expect and appreciate with this author.

I was so thrilled to receive an advanced copy of this new thriller by Lisa Gardner. It was spectacular. I'm an avid mystery reader and I tend to be able to figure out many mysteries before they end. With this one, I was on the edge of my seat until the end. I'll be reviewing this book on my blog later in December but let me just say here, this is worth the read!
