3.5 stars. This is a fast, fun thriller. Not as good as some of her previous thrillers but still full of tension and sound character development - love the new Wyatt character. This is the first time Gardner has written a book where I figured out the twist before she revealed it so that was a little disappointing. There were some overly wordy passages about cooking that were unnecessary. Gardner is one of my guilty pleasures and I will keep reading her, but I do hope the next one is a little less predictable. ARC from publisher.

Listened to this as an audiobook. The narrator was fine, but the story dragged on. I would have liked to have seen more detective work than tedious scenes with the kidnapped woman. I like Lisa Gardner books, but this was flat for me. The final twist was predictable, but I read a lot in this genre. I would recommend other books by this author more.

A bit of a slow start, but Gardner once again rolls out a clever plot and an interesting cast of good guys and bad. I figured out the whodunit about 80% into the book and then got to enjoy the ride as Gardner brought the story home. This author rarely disappoints. Good read.

Unfortunately saw a spoiler on reviews about the ending so that ruined the suspense for me a bit. Overall, you can always rely on Lisa Gardner to write a gripping thriller but it’s not up there for me and forgettable characters

I love when books capture your attention right from the beginning. Justin and Libby Denbe return home from a night out and BAM

I was literally shocked at the end. Completely surprised at "who did it". Amazing writing, kept my interested all the way through.

This is one of my favorite Lisa Gardner books to date. Touch & Go is a fast-paced, action packed mystery/thriller that kept me turning pages until the wee hours of the night. Gardner really is the Queen of Suspense!

When the Denbe family is kidnapped, it's up to private investigator Tessa Leoni to find them. The only problem is that this case isn't your regular kidnapping case. It's personal, and it's evident that the kidnappers are professional and they know exactly what they're doing. Tessa, working on behalf of Justin Denbe's construction company, uses her prior experience and expertise as a former state trooper to uncover clues to the Denbe's disappearance. With no ransom demand and no signs of a break-in, Tessa and the Boston police really don't have a clue as to who took them. In a matter of hours, though, they discover that Justin Denbe, the owner of Denbe Construction, has been leading a double life, while his wife Libby has developed an addiction to painkillers. Their 15-year-old daughter, Ashlyn, also has secrets of her own. On the outside, the Denbes look like the perfect family, but on the inside, their family life is anything but. Will they be able to pull together and survive their ordeal as a family?

I don't want to give anything away, but I can tell you that the ending is spectacular and it's not anywhere near what I expected to happen. Tessa Leoni is a new character for Lisa Gardner, although she was first introduced to fans in Gardner's Love You More. Gardner has had a lot of success with her Detective D.D. Warren series, so I'm pleased to see a new potential series coming out with a strong female character that seems every bit as tough, wise-cracking and determined as D.D. Warren. In fact, I'll even go as far as to say that I like Tessa's character more! I'm expecting more good things from Lisa Gardner in 2014.

This had me in the edge of my seat, though I got tired of the failing family theme. It felt didactic.

This book was a page turner. I found it while looking online and decided to download it. The unfortunate part is I guess the ending before it happened. If you're looking for a quick mystery to read over the summer or to sink into for a few days this would be it.
