Beginning was impressive -abduction of a family of 3 by perpetrators unknown, leading to many secrets tumbling out and bonds being formed and broken. But the latter half was unable to maintain the tempo and credibility. Still I enjoyed this book which was told by an omnipresent 3rd person narrating the detective part which altered with 1st person narrative of the kidnapped wife.

This was my first Lisa Gardner read and it certainly won’t be my last. Hooked on her style, her characters and her twists. Loved this one and was engaged throughout!

3.75 - this book made me realize how much I had been enjoying the DD Warren series. Not a bad book but not my favourite by Lisa Gardner
Pretty typical thriller/police procedural, but interesting enough to finish in under two days and had me wanting to read more from the author. I'm also feeling smug because I figured out whodunit by about 60% through. GENIUS!

I would actually give this 3.5 stars. It was a good book not great but it was ok. It wasn't my favorite book of hers but it still had a lot of suspense, thrill, romantic interests and terror. Had no clue who the bad guy was until the end.
This is another hit by Lisa Gardner. I loved it. This is my second venture into Tessa Leoni, and I think I enjoyed this one more than the first. When I thought I had it figured out, the ending surprised me. I can't wait to pick up the third one. This plot was so intricately woven and I loved all of the characters. There were many surprises that I wasn't expecting.
This author! These books to me are like watching a movie. From the first word I am hooked, and I basically can’t stop reading until the lady gets her man (because this book like the DD Warren series is both a police chase and a love story). ❤️
