Clairement pas le meilleur roman que Lisa Gardner ait écrit, il tourne énormément en rond et je trouve qu'on se focus trop sur les Denbe et pas assez sur l'enquête.

Great book with wonderful twists and turns that make it difficult to put down. I had a feeling I had figured out the guilty party early on, but Gardner did a good job throwing me off track until the very end. This is an author that does not disappoint.
Pretty darn good book. Kept my interest - was a definite page turner. I had in my head what I THOUGHT was going to happen the whole time and ended up being right - but not sure if it was predictable per say. I would definitely recommend reading it!
Tessa Leoni is an investigator hired by the firm Denbe Construction when it appears Justin and Libbe Denbe and their teenage daughter have been kidnapped. Along with local police and members of the FBI, they await a ransom demand.
Told from Tessa’s POV and Libby’s, we see a family that from the outside looks wealthy and happy and successful, but as Tessa and law enforcement try to track the family down, they unravel clues that indicate things aren’t necessarily quite so shiny and content.
This is a lot of fun. It’s the second book in the series, and I’m looking forward to reading books 1 and 3.

Great book! Full of suspense and surprises. I love Lisa Gardner's writing..."Pain has a flavor. The question is...what does it taste like to you?" I think I'll check out the other Gardner book featuring Tessa Leoni very soon.
A decent mystery with some twists and turns. The main twist wasn't predictable per say but wasn't particularly shocking. Overall, a pretty good book, but nothing amazing.
