Kept you guessing and had a surprise ending.

Started slow but ended well.

SO GOOD! I couldn't stop reading it! I started by only readin 10 pages then once I got started the rest of the book I finished in a day! I couldn't stop reading!

Never, and I do mean never, have I read a book that reeked so strongly and from the very page of America. This feels like it has "usa" branded all over it, and _not_ in a good way.
Also, the dialogues are so weird ! Does anyone talk in such a verbode, rehearsed way ? I sure hope not.

Anyways, DNF and didnt like it.

It started out promisingly enough, but ran out of steam fairly early on. The "who set it up" aspect of the kidnapping was pretty obvious. The kidnapped family could not have been more cliched and irritating. I actually found myself rooting for the kidnappers, and I'm fairly certain that was not Gardner's intent here. I would love to read another book centering on kidnappers Z and Radar. I also liked the relationship between main protagonist Tessa Leone and the NH sheriff, Wyatt Foster, which I assume will continue in upcoming books. Unfortunately, this book hasn't left em eager to read another Gardner mystery.

While I definitely enjoyed reading this book, I figured out the mystery part pretty early on. That makes it a little less enjoyable.

I love Lisa Gardner books and this one did not disappoint. This book was full of suspense and kept you guessing until the end. I can't wait to read/listen to more of her books. If you want a suggestion start with the book The Perfect Husband. Fantastic book!!!!!

I really like this series however this book just kind of fell flat compared to the others. The setup was good, but the middle just kind of drug on. *spoiler alert* I saw that it was Justin Debene way to early in the book. But the way they tied it all together and the ending was more than perfect. So I enjoyed it. But compared to other books in this series this one just wasn't that great.

I loved this book, kept me up late more than one night and was worth it! Can't wait to read everything she has written!!!!

I didn't think I was going to like this book at first--the beginning seemed a little too stereotypical to me - but then it grabbed me and I ended up finishing it and liking it -- didn't find the ending very strong but it was a good mystery.
