Sometimes you read a book with no intention of expecting a plot and you’re only there for the spice. Welp. Delivered

This age-gap romance was so much more than I had expected. Erika is a little over 40 and newly divorced while Troy is half his age and yes - he’s the pool boy. Their love affair is probably the hottest thing I’ve read this year. The steam factor in this book is off the charts. Why I loved this book also stems from the music aspects as well. I’m a lover of romance but also a lover of music and the combo here grabbed my heart strings. This is a fast-paced love story with so much sexual chemistry you’ll need to have the windows open.

Instead of writing a long review, we are going to give you a few words to get you to read this:

He's my smokin' hot pool boy who wants every inch of my mature body.
lighthearted medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: Plot
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: No

I am convinced that anything Nikki Sloane writes will be absolutely AMAZING and The Pool Boy is no exception. Nikki's writing is so addictive and makes it almost impossible to ever put her books down.

The Pool Boy is the 2nd book in the Nashville Neighborhood and can be read as a standalone. Although, I now NEEEDD to read Greg and Cassidy's book ASAP. Erika is our BADASS fmc who is 42 and Troy is our sexy musician mmc who is 24. OH and also happens to be Erika's best friend's son... HEHE.

This book is HOT and forbidden but is so much more than just smut (Nikki does such an amazing job with this balance in her books). I adored Troy and Erika's connection and watching Erika give her soul to another man after her divorce with her ex was so tender.

This was an easy, quick, steamy and lovable read! I really really enjoyed it!

Yes ma’am

I’m here for the spice and the spice only.

I really liked the idea of the whole music career but didn’t love the execution. I would have loved to see more of him getting involved into songwriting.

All in all it was a good book and The Doctor (book 1) and The Frat Boy (book 4) are my favorite ones on the Nashville Neighborhood series so far.

Oof - this was 100% delicious!

I don't know whether I just wasn't paying attention to the blurb or what, but I totally missed that Troy is Erika's best friend's son so that was a taboo bonus for me!

I don't know what else to say that hasn't already been said; this was reverse age gap perfection, I swooned, my kindle was on fire, and I simply can't believe I waited so long to read it.
