4.5 ⭐️ 3.5

Will never not like a narrative with an age gap...

3.5⭐️- Spice was great & I liked the book even though I wouldn’t ever be ok with my best friend sleeping with my son lol.

This was actually really good LOL

I normally don't like straight romance books, they just don't Do It for me BUT THIS ONE was great. If you don't like age gaps than ahem this one isn't for you, I believe there's a 19 year age difference.

This is basically about a woman named Erika who catches her husband getting slammed by his male boss and from there it flashes forward a year to their finalized divorce. One day she decides to go sunbathe naked by her pool, totally forgetting that her pool boy was supposed to come by and clean her pool. Now things get a little heated between the two but it just so happens that Erika's Pool Boy Troy, is her best friends son. It's wild and the smut is *top tier* and there's also the fact that Erika is a music manager and Troy ... is one of her clients. So this book gets real messy in a lot of ways but it's actually a very good book.

Miss Nikki Sloane really came through and delivered with this one.

Holy Hotness pool boy!

From the start, you get a sense that this isn't your typical age gap romance. It's more...so much more.

When Erika catches her husband with his pants down, she finds herself on her own and ready to reinvent her future. What she didn't bank on was getting involved with her BFF's son! A chance encounter leads to them getting together, and their story continues with her seeing him sing at a bar, pushing him to try out for the open act for the hot pop star on tour, her finding her writing muse again, and his catapult to stardom.

Of course, getting involved with the your friend's son has some drama...but nothing over the top, and expected in this scenario. This was my first read by Nikki Sloane, and I'm ready to go back and read the first book in this series (the neighbor makes an appearance here, and his book is the first it appears).

Very cute.

Love a good age gap trope, but this was reversed. Spicy and fun to read!
