This book was not what I expected from the title--I wasn't sure what direction Nikki Sloane was going to take this, but she did NOT disappoint. The characters were complex, and this age-gap relationship was too hot to handle.

Very, very steamy but also surprisingly adorable!? Think: Lucy Liu’s character’s romantic storyline from Why Women Kill, meets Nashville, but more explicit.
I really enjoyed this age-gap romance about an older woman getting her life back on track after a messy divorce, and her younger pool boy (a.k.a. her best friend’s son) who has always had a crush on her. If Troy was a cartoon character, his eyes would be popping out of his head every time he saw Erika, and I LOVED that.
Despite the set up being a bit taboo/off-limits, there was a lightness in their dynamic and a feel-good vibe from the music storyline that made this book really easy to read.
(But don’t worry, it’s still verrrrry steamy.)
