Wow,  a great start to the first of the three series that Hayes released this year.  Short, bleak, yet hopeful and inspiring.  Looking forward to starting the other two complementary series after reading this.

Demon was great. Obviously it is part of a wider ranging series, however I decided to read Demon first, and I'm glad I did, it was a great experience with a likeable cast of characters and although I was somewhat hesitant about the main character for a little while Dien really grew on me throughout. The character arc that Dien undergoes is impressive and done in a small number of pages (200 pages is relatively tiny compared to the size of Herald). By the end of the book I was itching to pick up book 2 of the Archive series, unfortunately I will have to bide my time until the next Kickstarter and get my fix by reading Deathless next. I am very excited to see where Rob takes this series going forward and it will be my pleasure to watch Rob stretch his creative muscles.

5/5 An excellent first entry, I'll be first in line for the next one.

Really great start to the vision of this 3 series epic saga. Very excited to read Deathless and Herald

I started my God Eater journey with Herald and followed it right after with Demon. I can't get enough of this world that Hayes has created.

This is the BRUTAL beginning of Dien Hostain's story. Saint Dien is a character you will see named all throughout God Eater, and in Demon, we get to see where she came from.

I really enjoyed the entire read, though I felt it took half the story to really get going. I enjoyed the slower beginning well enough but it did not compare to the last 50 percent of the book.

Dien is a character I long to learn more about and I am already eagerly anticipating God Eater 2. It can't come fast enough.

"Demon" is the best entry of "The Godeater Saga".
I read the first entry of each trilogy in the reverse order, as sugested by the author, but I decided to read each trillogy individualy in the chronological order as that is the type of reader that I am. I don't want to be spoiled.
I realy enjoyed the protagonist of this story, Dien.
