I was so looking forward to reading this as I absolutely loved Hooked. However, I found myself extremely disappointed with this book. Especially when compared to Hooked.

I felt it was slow and at times it was a chore to read it. I so wanted to enjoy this as much as the first, but I couldn't. It was a good story overall, don't get me wrong, but the magic that was in Hooked wasn't in this book. It could have done with being less pages and putting a punch into the story. This doesn't deter me from reading the others in the series though.

I am absolutely obsessed, in love, and so entirely satisfied with every single thing about this book. Absolutely delicious, I am eating this up. Running to get the limited edition book that’s available right now because it is that fucking good. Everything I love a dark romance enemies to lovers where the girl falls in love with an actual VILLAIN. YEASSSS

This was a great read! This is the first onebif her books ive read and I already bought another. I loved the vibe and banter was great.

As a Lion King/Hamlet retelling its really good. I thought for a bit that there was actually going to be ghosts and they hint st it but you don't actually see them.

Tristan is interesting as a character who has a sole goal hes worked towards but is willing to give it up for Sara. The same goes for Sara but I feel like shes a more typical morally grey character where Tristan is initially presented as morally black until he you learn more about his time with the Jackals.

I would have loved to see more of Simon and wish he would have had his moment with Tristan where Tristan let him call him Dad. And I really wanted Simon to get a shot on on Michael just a punch or something for what he put Simon through.
