Loved the little commentary on the sides from Jace, Clary and more
Loved this. It went into detail about everything to know in the shadowhunter world. If you've read The Mortal Instruments, definitely read this. You'll know how to become a great shadowhunter.
It was a very interesting look into the lives and history of shadowhunters. The comments by Clary, Jace and Simon really added to the experience
This was fun to read, I didn’t actually intend to read it but I was getting so annoyed by Julian Blackthorn while reading Queen of Air and Darkness, and didn’t want to throw myself off by starting Chain of Thorns, that I thought I would read this instead. And actually found myself enjoying it.
This is essentially a guide that new Shadowhunters would be given to help them navigate the new and interesting world they find themselves in. It breaks down the history of the Nephilim, the Downworlders, the different types of demons and everything you could ever possibly need to know when fighting the forces of evil all the live long day.
And it was fun seeing it being treated like an actual textbook by Clary and Simon. That’s how a textbook should be treated. A very fun addition to the Shadowhunter Chronicles, if potentially a little redundant.

It's not a need for sure, but if you're a fan go for it. I'd say that I get it the style of the book, but for me personally the comments and texts were boring, I think the book lacked more visual examples to make it more interesting and different from what we already get normally.
Resumiendo, the shadowhunter's codex es un libro imprescindible para todos los fans de cazadores de sombras. información sobre los nefilim, subterráneos, runas, raziel etc. narrada de una forma muy amena con comentarios de los protagonistas de the mortal instruments. un inglés que se entiende muy bien y un buen ritmo. pocos momentos lentos o pesados.
