This book is very interesting if you are a fan of The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices. It has some insider info on the internal workings of the shadowhunter world and the side notes written by Clary, Jace and Simon throughout the book are very entertaining and add some comedy to the otherwise serious textbook style writting. It's a cool read to keep lying around and flicking through from time to time.
I thought this was really interesting. It helped explain a lot of questions I had about the Downworld and Nephilim worlds. I also thought the little annotations were funny and definitely on character. This was kind of like reading a fantasy textbook (that's basically what it is) but it's a decent read if you are confused about this universe.
A little boring, as most textbooks are, but the humorous comments "written in" from Clary, Jace and Simon made the book worth it
A great companion for us Shadowhunters. It includes much information about stuff that we also learn while reading the books (TMI and TID) but goes into greater details.
I also loved the comments from Clary, Jace and Simon. So funny!
This book is great to be reading a little at a time between reading other books. =)

2,5 stars, it fel really long even If it shortsen than all the other shadow hunters book. What made it worth reading was the comments from Jace, Clary and Simon
I like that we get more background on the Shadow world that we've read so much about but without a story line it kind of felt like I was reading a textbook, (which I guess is kind of true), but I couldn't really get into it to much.

This was a fun book to read. It gives a peek into some of the minutiae in the Shadowhunter universe. I especially loved the doodles and the notes written by Jace, Clary, and Simon in the margins.
