Love a good manual, in this case a codex, to guide me through!

I really enjoyed this. It really brought the series to life. I loved the variety of drawings, and that the back of the book tells you who drew what. I loved that, like Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them did for Harry Potter, the book had notes and conversations between Clary, Jace, and Simon. It was hilarious to read and made me appreciate the characters even more. And best of all, my new slew of information on the world of Shadowhunters has inspired me to write a fan fiction for this series. What more could I possibly ask for?
I really enjoyed this. I learned so much about the Shadow world, definitely a book I recommend if you like Cassandra Clare’s books

i am sticking to reading all of the shadowhunter books by publication order + i didn’t want to skip this. i think it’s a neat book with fun banter from clary/jace/simon in some of the margins. also probably is helpful if someone wants to look up what they’re talking about it in books further.
