Fun! Obviamente mi parte favorita es la de información sobre Faeries jajaja siempre serán mis criaturas de fantasía favoritas, mejor aún si son traviesas y crueles

I have officially completed my Shadowhunter training!

This makes me want to reread the whole series.

The Codex was actually fun. It's seems like your typical textbook but made more interesting by the little side comments by Clary, Jace, and Simon. Of course, I found some parts (the side bars in particular) to be too tedious to read but overall it was informative and I loved the illustrations. I particularly enjoyed the portrait of Chairman Meow and Cassandra Jean's other doodles as Clary.

I read this book beforehand maybe either a few months ago or last year. I got this as a Christmas gift and I just wanted to read it again to remind myself of the things that happen in the Shadowhunter World. I really enjoyed the book and can't wait for the Dark Artifices and the Last Hours to come in the future!!

Very dull at times since this is a manual, but I did enjoy all the written in comments by Jace, Clary, and Simon. Also, all the illustrations were beautiful ❤️
This will be nice to refer back to though.

When this came out, I was not very interested but recently I have been wanting to get more into the Shadowhunter world. I thought this was interesting though abit boring at times. I did like the comments made by Clary, Jace and Simon. It made the reader feel more in that world but I was struggling to remember when in the timeline those comments are from. I would guess after City of Glass?

Another part which stood out to me is the tone of the Codex and comparing those words to the characters in the series as well as their actions. I would recommend to read this if you want background information on the downworld and the Clave but it is not a must read. The two images at the front and end piece were lovely.

Front piece was the Mortal Instruments trilogy characters

End piece was the Infernal Devices trilogy characters

Loved the character sketches throughout the book too.
