Took me a really long time to get into the book, mainly because of how it was written, but the last 1/4 of the book made up for it.

# ps-ultimate-book-challenge-2017 #read a book with a non-human narrator

I'm assuming a ghost, while once human, counts for this challenge. This book was recommended to me, and it was truly amazing. It has an unusual setting (a girl's juvenile detention facility) an unusual (and unreliable) narrator, and so many twists and turns that you will never guess the ending. Ms. Suma has a very interesting imagination, and I would like to read more of her books. It's also about ballet, of all things. Check it out!

There aren't enough good things I can say about this book. It's beautifully written, in lush and evocative prose. It's a literary page-turner and a heartbreaking story that will keep you guessing until the very end, and then when you do get to the end, it will blow your mind completely. I hope she gets ALL the awards for this one.

I got really annoyed with the "we" usage, after a while.

What a very, very unsettling story. I didn't know what to expect, and I'm glad I went in with no expectations at all. That book was quite unique. The writing is beautiful and sucked me in, made me want to know what exactly was happening, and I stayed on the edge of my seat from the start and until the very end. A very good discovery.
