It was interesting to see another groung of Reckoners from a parallel timeline and get to know the origin story for Steelheart.
This was a fun addition to the reckoners world!
I really enjoyed the characters and the world building. Lux and the epic in charge was an interesting idea. I also found another epic who is one of my favorite characters!
The audio was great as well, though I still look forward to the day they do a print copy.

Lazy. Boring characters. Copy cat of Steelheart.
I know Brandon Sanderson CAN write interesting female characters. I know he has the ABILITY to create a dynamic, fun, and captivating world and plot. But I guess why bother when he can just write the exact same story in the same world and still sell as many books?
This book was just so lazy. It blows my mind. Like it’s not that bad of a book except I already read it and I know Sanderson can do better. Disappointing. This plot could have been really interesting.

Good parallel story for The Reckoners. I wish it was a physical copy and that there was another follow up but it is what it is sometimes with a Sanderson series or book.
Interesting new epics and reckoners to follow. Pretty dark but not so far as to make it too creepy or unenjoyable.

I loved the original Reckoners books but listening to this audio was amazing. I was really invested in this side group and their adventures. I loved how the Epics didn’t seem to be consistent with what we had thought from the other series and that there was an additional layer to them.
I didn’t see any of the (3?) plot twists coming. Not one! I was pleasantly surprised and more than a little excited to see what happens next (if anything?).

I was happy to discover that Sanderson expanded the Reckoners' series with an introduction to the Texas Reckoners. And it was an enjoyable audio experience for the most part. However, this one was not as tightly and neatly constructed as the Steelheart series. There's another author listed and that must be why. The story went on and on and on and on. Also, while there was decent character development, there was also too many parallels between the TX Reckoners personalities and the Chicago group. I'll most likely listen to the 2nd in the series when it's released but I'm sure hoping for more.
This book definitely lacked something that I got in the original trilogy but the story and characters were still very interesting and well developed. I might have given it a bit less rating if I wasn’t so invested in the Reckoners multiverse.
I love what these new books will bring to the table, e.g. bringing back the OG Reckoners (Cameo or fully formed story), more exploration for the multiverse. And due to this I couldn’t give this a lower rating that 4.
I really liked the new Team of Reckoners and I feel like I will grow to love them as much as the OG Reckoners with next books.
