The bulk of this is the author just reliving her dissatisfying friendships. It's not really instructive, beyond "there are people out there. Your pet can be your best friend." I kept waiting for something useful but I can't listen to someone lament their bad relationships for hours.

Overall I liked this book, but it didn’t blow me away. Moore is a decent writer and I liked the humor sprinkled throughout, but it did start to feel a bit repetitive and too self-helpy for me after a while.

Enjoyed this a lot more than Lane’s first book! She’s still the queen of millennial cringe humor, but I felt like this was actually a book written about the topic, rather than a bait and switch memoir. Loved the sections where she dove into pop culture and how that formed a lot of our opinions on friendship/adulthood.
