This was a fun listen- Emily weirdly similar to Anne… and I know many prefer Emily, but I found myself just being reminded of Anne and missing her instead of enjoying Emily.

Rereading one of my favorite childhood books as an adult: while Emily is spunky, it was infuriating to read how much she struggled in a patriarchal society and the adults that tried so hard to keep her there. Does it hold up? 5/10
