Reading all of Wilde's plays was quite the challenge (especially the unfinished, one-act ones that definitely needed polishing.) What I can say about all these plays is that they are definitively Wilde-esque. And what I can say about Wilde is that he's not always my favorite. Sure, you have some clear standouts, like "Vera", "The Duchess of Padua", "Lady Windermere's Fan" and obviously "The Importance of Being Earnest." But, through it all, Wilde's insistence of ensuring that stories had no meaning but were simply beautiful was frustrating. So I suppose my problem with his plays was not how they were written, because they were all beautifully written, but with why they were written: aestheticism is, very simply, not my cup of tea. And no, it's not a tea I think I'll drink again soon, even if it's served in blue china... (that's an Oscar Wilde joke)

''Cecily (sweetly): Sugar?
Gwendolen (superciliously): No, thank you. Sugar is not fashionable any more.
Cecily looks angrily at her, takes up the tongs and puts four lumps of suger into the cup.
Cecily (severely): Cake or bread and butter?
Gwendolen (in a bored manner): Bread and butter, please. Cake is rarely seen at the best houses nowadays.
Cecily (cuts a very large slice of cake and puts it on the tray): Hand that to Miss Fairfax.''

Cecily: I just took a DNA test, turns out I'm 100% that bitch.

La Sainte Courtisane: 4/5
A Florentine Tragedy: 2.5/5
