Deserves 5 stars. I love their story. I love how they helped each other out when it came to facing their fears. I guess they both found each other's strengths. ^_^
Good contemporary romance with a sexy hero, strong heroine, fun setting w/ good supporting characters. Recommended
First read (10/2010)
I COULD NOT put this book down! All the characters were so engaging and real and I connected with them. It was the kind of book I wanted to read but not finish because it means their story ends. If you love romance novels, you will totally enjoy this book. It was delicious!
Second read (12/2015)
The reread the second time around was just as wonderful as the first. :)

Well, I don't know what I expected from this book. I liked it, but I never connected with any of the characters...
I'm currently binging on Jill Shalvis, enjoying the hell out myself with her Lucky Harbor series. I thought I'd give a try at the Wilder brothers, expecting the same fun and light feelings...
It was different, but maybe this is just my current mood talking.

Good not great. It felt like a lot of repetitions and it dragged out a lot. But it was still enjoyable.

Slow in parts, but overall a contemporary with a good balance of humor and insight.
Light fluffy read. Characters don't develop too much but still fun. Katie Kramer was the only survivor of a bridge collapse. It causes her to reevaluate her safe, boring life and she takes off for a temporary job in Wishful, CA working for an adventure company.
Cameron Wilder took off to explore the world after a horrific accident ended his award winning snowboarding career. The youngest son of the Wilder family has only recently returned home to find Katie sleeping in his bed. The main story is pretty cute with both Katie and Cameron being attracted to each other but neither is willing to admit that it might anything more than a fling.
The secondary story of Cameron's aunt getting back together with her husband is pretty cute. She is trying to divorce him because he doesn't "see" her but she doesn't truly see him any more either.
Not the best book ever written but it kept me entertained for a couple of hours.

On the plus side: the author has improved a lot in the years since she wrote this.
On the minus side: I spent most of the book wondering if it was more boring or more stupid. The general idea was interesting, but the repetitive, obvious plot points detracted from that. "See Dick run. See Jane fall. See Dick run nowhere and Jane fall over the same obstacles for 200 pages until their heavy-handed HEA."
Add in the most half-assed depiction of a character with diabetes that I've seen in a long time and you have the perfect recipe to annoy me.
Only gave this 2 stars because I managed to finish, but I only finished because I also impulse-bought books 2 & 3 when this one went on sale so ... maybe closer to 1.5 stars.

So... this was fine. After seeing Sarah Wendell praise it so highly on SBTB, I was super excited, but it didn't really do a ton for me. Whiny hero, slightly... overpraised heroine? I mean, she went through some crappy stuff, but I felt like I was supposed to think she was braver than she really ever seemed.
I'll probably still read the others in the series when I'm desperate for a book, though - quick easy HEAs are never a bad thing!
