Instant Attraction

Jill Shalvis

Total chick lit, but I liked this.

Awww, such a heart warming story. Katie and Cam are such a good couple, both dealing with their own past and trying to help each other at the same time.

Cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

A solid and well-written contemporary romance about a woman who finds love while working a temp job at a mountain resort. I found the secondary characters a bit two-dimensional, but enjoyed Cameron and Katie quite a bit. While their respective back stories were a tad melodramatic, I really enjoyed their rapport and chemistry.

Love, Love Love this book! Jill Shalvis can do no wrong!

Instant Attraction on Books On Track

The story of Katie, an accountant who survived a terrible accident and decided to take life by the horns, and Cameron, a pro athlete who lost his career and returned home after a year of wandering.

Katie is temping for the company Cameron's brothers run when he returns, and the two are instantly intrigued by one another. However Katie is only there for a month and Cameron is not ready to start anything, so it takes them a while before they inevitably succumb to the attraction between them.

Their ways of dealing with their life changing events are vastly different, yet they end up helping each other heal and move on from the past, and they end up falling in love in the process.

Enjoyable story that introduces the Wilder family. The series continues with [b:Instant Gratification|18905128|Instant Gratification (Wilder #2)|Jill Shalvis|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1393351883l/18905128._SY75_.jpg|6181298] and the middle brother Stone's story next.

Characters: Accident survivor, former snowboard champion
World Building: Wilderness guides, Sierras
Plot: Internal
Sex: Medium
Read another: Probably

All of the characters seemed interesting and potentially complicated, so I'll probably read another. The passage of time in this book bothered me. I didn't feel it, and I didn't feel the difficulty of the expeditions, either.

read this in like 5 hrs. i. loved it.

the romance, the cute swoonworthy sentences, the HUMOUR, the setting, the snow, ANNIE. shes such a savage and i love her sm for it. n the humour and roasts in this book,, i loved ittt. one thing that i didnt like tho was the fact that katie told annie that she needed to wear tighter clothes and wear makeup and all for nick like,,,, naw hunny no. u dont need to dress up n shi j for a man to like u; hes j gnna fall for the looks n that aint love. n the thought that u gtta make urself pretty so tht men would notice u says a lot abt how men dont care for anyone unless theyre hot. like hello????? what happened to truly falling for someone for their personality and all like ugh. sorry i think i went a little off track there lol. anyway onto the things tht i liked. CAM PRACTICALLY WORSHIPPING KATIE N SAYING HOW SHES SO STRONG N BRAVE AND BEAUTIFULL OH MY GOODDDDD GIRL BYE. literally the bare minimum. i love how cam looks up to katie. altho i do think the whole thing happened too fast like the book ended after a month of them meeting i think idk for me ig it was a lil too early but idm. i like jill shavis' writing ngl might read more of her books in the future.

dnfed around halfway through the book,, i couldn't anymore omg

I love, love, loved the chemistry between Katie and Cameron. I had been reading the author's Animal Magnetism series and when I caught up and had to actually wait for the next book in the series to come out, I decided to try out another of her series. I'm so glad I did. The cast of characters is quirky and fun...and sexy of course!

There are many directions I would like to see this series go, and I have confidence that Jill Shalvis will come through. I can't get enough of her heros.
