Instant Attraction

It was very cute, very sweet.

Unfortunately it was also full of clichés, and the worst of them is a hot and cold character.

I liked the Annie and Nick sub-plot, though I think they deserved more.
T.J. and stone seemed pretty cool, too.

It tried to have a lot of tension but it didn't work so much, I wanted more intimacy and she thought I wanted cock-blocking.

Pros:
– Instant Attraction is a solid, quality contribution to contemporary romance in a time when there aren't nearly enough out there to choose from
– There were no kidnapping plots, no stalkers, and no vendettas (when you've read a million variations of those three plot points, you've pretty much exhausted yourself praying for some good old fashioned pride and prejudice)
– Neither lead character has any off-putting sex hang ups

Cons:
– The weird dialogue, and use of the word 'booty'
– The cover. What's up with that thing?

I'm not entirely sure what it is about this book that made it three instead of four stars--can't really put my finger on specific problems. I liked it a lot, but didn't love it. Maybe Cameron was just a bit two whiny about his fate? Katie just a little too perky? The entire relationship a tad too rushed? I'm not sure. Ultimately, I guess just didn't like it as much as I liked Animal Attraction, the only other Jill Shalvis novel I've read so far. I'll keep my eyes open for the others in the series, as I did enjoy the characters of the other two brothers, but they're not at the very top of my list.

I didn't like the way the guy was fixated on her appearance at the very start of the book, but it quickly turned it around and I wound up really enjoying it.

This book was HILARIOUS! Read it until 5am because I couldn't stop laughing :) Great hero/heroine match up too!!!

Another very good contemporary from Jill Shalvis. I liked both Katie and Cam and found their struggles to overcome their respective accidents compelling. While Cam withdraws, Katie decides to embrace adventure. There are some fun moments and some more emotional moments. Jill Shalvis does write some of my favorite contemporaries but somehow I missed this series. Looking forward now to getting to Cam's brothers' books.

Katie Kramer leaves LA after a horrific accident. She wants to experience adventure. She accepts a temporary job working for Wilder Adventures as an accountant. Cameron Wilder comes home after travelling the world after an accident that changed his life. Cameron and Katie are immediately combustible. But, Cameron is reticent since his accident. He thinks of himself as a quitter. He is loving being home again and is finding fulfillment working for the family business but is reluctant to get involved with Katie. Katie shows home what strength really looks like. As with all Jill Shalvis books there is a lot of witty banter and characters that you will love. Family is the big picture. I enjoyed this book and will read the other books in the series.

It just doesn't get much better than Jill Shalvis. This is the first book in the Wilder series. Katie is running from herself after a devastating accident. Ditto for Cameron. Katie ends up at Wilder Adventures just as Cameron has decided to come back home. The two help each other heal from painful pasts and move on to living to the fullest. Love it!

I love Jill Shalvis so when I found out about this series I jumped in with both feet! Takes place at a winter resort and Katie and Cam are both dealing with real problems.

Love the characters I met and so glad there are two more books in this series!
