"Sometimes , that's all it takes- one person who's willing to listen to your heart, to the sound no one else has every tried to hear."

This was an easy 5 star read for. I could not put this book down. There was so much going on in this story, and in every direction the story took, I eagerly followed.
The story of a little boy who lost everyone he loved and trusted on a fateful day plagued with tragedy. Pain, anger, and jealousy from the man he called father would result in him losing his ability to speak.
Archer became voiceless in the midst of a town built on lies. He became forgotten by those who knew him and led a solitary, isolated life. Some thought he was deaf. Some thought he was an invalid. No one cared to learn the truth.
That is until Bree ran to a small town to get away from her past trauma. (Trauma in this scenario seems like an understatement as her father was murdered right in front of her).
She becomes curious about Archer and his story. Ever persistent, she breaks down Archer's barriers. She learns that not only can he communicate, but he is eloquent, brave, and kind. She teaches Archer how to trust and love, but more importantly, she shows him his worth.
Archer and Bree find each other in the rubble of their losses. They both deserved more than what life dealt them, but in the end, they got the love story they were destined for.

I’ve had this on my TBR for a very long time and ugh I just thought it was so boring

Took a little while to get hooked but once I did I could not put it down. I was somewhat shocked by the more R rated scenes, mostly because I was not expecting them in a book like this but it is Romance so it’s not a huge shock

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions. Each time Bree and Archer were happy, something happened to sway them of their path. I really loved Archer and I felt like Sheridan really managed to make us reader feel for him just as Bree was feeling. Overall a pretty good book.

Amazing book with great story line. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good easy read for the weekend. It’s very intriguing and I often found myself not being able to put the book down. From the character development to the often unexpected turns it was truly amazing.

i feel so empty after finishing this book, i fell like i've lost a friend
