A ver, qué decir? Me parece que el libro es muy descriptivo y me hubiera encantado que haya más diálogo. Por ahí, en un capítulo (que suelen ser largos) hay tres diálogos locos (ósea WTF). La historia es linda igual, pero un poco lento de leer.

2.5 stars. the bad stuff was really hard to get through but i’m so easy to please with books as long as im mildly entertained i feel guilty giving less than 3 stars.

the writing in this was honestly pretty bad and there was a lot of things that just didn’t add up. ivy would be like i hold grudges and never look back but gave her ex the opportunity for a second chance even tho he cheated on her and she said she wouldn’t. roan is like i respect all woman by being upfront w what i want and never push is they aren’t interested yet pretty much didn’t give ivy an option the first few times he kissed her he just did it bc it was what he wanted. also the two best friends lexie and david(?) i can’t remember roan friends name. they were not good friends lmao like ivy was all upset after talking to her dad and then lexie is like u should really just get over it… sorry??? and the. roan is talking to his friend and saying how he might be interested in having a relationship with ivy even tho he’s not the relationship type she is special and makes him want to be different and his friend is like no don’t bc 1. ur just a fuck around type and u can’t change. and 2. if u upset ivy you’ll upset lexie and then i won’t get to have sex. sorry??????? u don’t want ur friend to be happy bc all u care about is sex? and honestly that was the worst part abt this book is that the men seemed to be, think and act exactly like the stereotypical horndog man and i really like books that make me forget that’s how men are and this one didn’t let me live out that fantasy.

the bulk of that all was in like the first 30% of the book and the rest was sweet and fun bc roan and ivy seemed to really like and understand each other. ivy didn’t care abt all the sports shit and campus fame that surrounded roan and roan liked that ivy cared about him as a person not just wanted to be another girl who got to claim they’ve been w roan king. the issue was even in the good parts the writing was honestly just so bad. also w the main conflict at the end 1. they had only been together a little over a month when she got accepted to the dance program i don’t think there is any way she would’ve even considered not going that was her dream and in such a competitive field she wouldn’t turn it down. 2. even if she was considering not going bc of roan i definitely think ivy would have actually told roan abt getting into the dance program bc if she really didn’t wanna stop dating them that would allow for the open conversation abt long distance and they’re whole relationship was built on being people that actually talked and cared abt hearing what each other had to say…

idk it’s so hard for me w stories that follow a relationship over like a 2 month time period bc i just can’t buy into the drama like esp w something so important to ur future like u just met each other a little less than two months ago there is no way in hell either of them would give up their life long dream for that. i don’t think it is possible to meet, know enough about them to even be in love, fall in love and then change ur life plans over a brand new relationship. whatever it was fun when it was decent but there were so many issues i had w it so yeah it was pretty rough

Standalone series. Not really interested in finishing it.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was well paced and had a lot of development. I definitely connected with the characters.
I did have trouble with Roan's name though. In my mind I was saying it like Stone lol.
The only real issue I had with this book is the same that I had with all of Jennifer's books and that is the slight errors. Such as sight/site, conscious/conscience, affect/effect/ errand/errant, things of that nature. But other than that I really, really enjoyed this book :)

Cute.

This was pretty good. To say I disliked Roan in the beginning is putting it mildly, but he definitely grew on me. There was too much repetition —Yes, we get it, he has an awesome body. How many times do we need it described? Conversations were interrupted by PAGES of internal monologues. Too much thinking and not enough talking. I found myself skimming at times. I’d consider the ending a “happy for now” rather than a HEA. Overall, an enjoyable read.
