A continuation were the cardcaptors sakura clowcards ended. In this manga we see sakura in middle school and her beloved Li back from hong Kong and he is going to stay. Also a mystery figure end up in sakuras dream with it the sakura's cards ends up going blank, hens the title book. So we start from there so many secrets and mystery about this new threat that sakura has to face. I like this but it was slow. Love the characters they still the same, no romance, yet! But let's see the other volume.

Cute and sweet.

The nostalgia was hitting and I seriously need to continue.

This is my forever favourite series. It's gorgeous, it's wholesome and I will be watching the anime eventually.

It's the CCS part 2 all over again. Except that this time Shaolan knows the mystery.
Can we do something else that always "rewrite the cards...?"

Cute, fun, light hearted, and easy to pick up even though I hadn't read the previous series.

We get, what? Like a 2 year time skip after the last series? Two years and no one grew as a character.

Oh wait, I wouldn’t know that because practically nothing was said about the time skip. We’re just back to our regular card related drama

It's been a while since I've seen something new in the Cardcaptor Universe! Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card begins where CCS left off. Sakura is starting middle school and Syaoran is back in town (maybe permanently). But strange things are happening throughout Tomoeda. The Sakura cards have become transparent and not only a new staff, but new cards have presented themselves to the Cardcaptor. Who've responsible for this? And what secrets are Syaoran and Eriol hiding this time?

Except for a few things, such as more advanced technology, Clear Card feels like a seamless transition from the original CCS mangas. Following Cardcaptor style, the art and plotline is saccharine cute, but the art (as always with CLAMP, is solid. I'm already interested in where this story is going! It's been a while since I've been able to experience Cardcaptors with fresh eyes.

Feels like childhood.

4/5 stars

We're just a couple of days from the new anime starting and I'm super psyched! I was even more excited when I found out that there's a manga for the new anime. The art is still as adorable as ever and I felt myself smiling at the feeling of nostalgia that overcame me as I read. I'm really going to enjoy seeing Sakura grow through middle school and become the amazing woman I know she will be. I can't wait to see the outfits Tomoyo designs and how Li/Eriol and all the rest will play into this.

I'm not really sure why Kero is calling Yukito "Yukibunny", I don't recall him ever doing that in the original series. I'm also curious to see if the true nature of Yukito and Toya's relationship will be revealed.

Bless CLAMP for this continuation

Sigue siendo todo adorable ❤️

Ratings will probably change because of my new rating system

[previous review: October 17, 2017 (previously 5 stars)]
One of my favorite anime series when I was a child was finally back after more than 20 years. It's still the same cutesy story with new events leading up to new magic! A wonderful read especially for me since I've grown up watching CCS online. I even brought a real set of Clow Cards many years ago.

Anyways, the graphics are amazing, the plot is gripping and I actually want to know more about the story so much that I finished the first volume in one sitting. My only problem is how I still cannot comprehend Sakura's and Syaoran's relationship, and how fast Sakura actually got feelings for Syaoran based on the last episode of the main series, but I guess it'll grow on me after a couple of reads.

Love the story so far, and I cannot wait to jump to vol 2, and of course, I am so excited for the anime adaptation of this series that will premiere on January 2018. My inner childhood is literally screaming right now.
