glimmeringgrove's review
I tried to give this book its run but its clunky in its writing. Within just 16 pages the main conflict of the story happens giving the reader no real time for it to have any emotional weight. It reads like a first draft with its pacing, taking us to too many places to keep up with in just a few pages. Suffers from lack of research into how a series is filmed, produced, and written. Dialogue also reads as awkward and unnatural. I think it would benefit from a show don't tell mindset. Too much information is packed at the beginning due to its need to explain everything to the reader. I think had the conflict happened later I would have had some time to care for these characters and understand them. But instead, it throws you right in by telling you everything directly.
Minor: Sexual assault
around page 20 there is a mention of the in universe show getting in hot water for an episode having a scene that looked like sexual assault. It's brought up in passing.
