I didn't love this, but it was still a good read. Lily's fight to use her acting career to fight for queer rep in media combined with her struggle to explore her own identity further when it is already very public is interesting. Some elements of Lily's journey feel weirdly like they're written by someone who is only guessing at what she's going through.

the pacing wasn’t for me but i can usually move past that but the poorly veiled lesbian phobia was a major turn off as a queer person so i’m good.

I don’t like the way this book talks about lesbians and it very much just says they can only be butch which I disagree with as a femme lesbian. Other people have also left reviews on why the book is lesbophobic. I just felt like the book wasn’t very good or for me.
