This book shows you the many faces/feelings/sides of the genius Sherlock Holmes.. gOd! I wish I could deduce clues like that!
It is simplicity itself. Or so he says..
The ending leaves you stranding though.. And sad.. :(

I am thoroughly enjoying my chronological journey through SH.

Just skip "A Study in Scarlet" and you get to the really good stuff. Well written and interesting. There is a good reason he's so famous. Very appealing to a logical mind.

I’ve read a fair amount of Sherlock Holmes this year, and to be honest, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes doesn’t stick out much. Perhaps it’s the format that got to me; if I’m recalling correctly, this was the collection of stories where the backstories were delivered by Holmes to Watson. I far prefer when they seem to be taking place in the moment rather than reflected upon after the fact. However, I do tend to prefer the short story collections to the novels, and the same thing rings true here. This is an unmissable collection of Sherlock Holmes adventures for any fan of the classic mystery.

It's such a joy to finally actually read this classic series. I enjoyed the mysteries in this entire anthology and of course Sherlock and Watson's relationship is always entertaining. Sherlock has a number of cases in this one and he's determined to solve them all. This series of short stories actually runs the gamut from really a recounting of Sherlock's first case to his last. I love the way Watson retells his friends unique way of discovering what happened. Sherlock is of course the world's foremost detective and worthy of all the attention.
