I really loved this book and immediately recommended it to a friend. Sawyer is a well-know. romance author who doesn’t believe in love and Mason is a B list celebrity who is constantly dragged in the tabloids for falling for his co-stars. Sawyer and Mason team up to ruin every holiday romance trope they can before they part ways. This book starts with a bang and then slows down to a steady simmer for a majority of the book. The tropes were a ton of fun, the chemistry was great, and I loved two celebrities as MCs. I also adored the ending and the way they resolved their issues. I do think Sawyer’s hangups from her previous relationship were a bit blown out of proportion, but as Sawyer lives a very isolated life, I can understand how things got bigger in her head than they were in reality.

The whole “romance writer who doesn’t believe in love” is really tired. It’s also weird to write as a debut - as though this book is some kind of self-insert wish fulfillment. I could have maybe gotten over that. But she calls her vagina Coochie Mane.

Lost my interest. I wasn’t connected to the characters. Nothing blatantly wrong, I just wasn’t in the right headspace for it.
