Way too long and drawn out. I found myself skimming over and just reading the dialogue. Book 1 was so long and drawn out too and I was *hoping* and assuming that this book would show some reason for it, some tie in to why all those pages were important to the plot. Turns out, it wasn’t. Well written, just a LOT of fluff and filler.

I really liked the book, but I have to admit that it requires some patience to read, as it is not fast-paced or action-filled or adventurous. It is slice-of-life style. It feels like fantasy is just to add a flavor when the book is actually about trying to find hope after seeing the worst of humanity and spreading as much positivity as we can, even if we are unable to make a huge difference.
We continue where the story left off in the previous book. There are a bunch of immortals and one is a tyrant who thinks himself to be God. Our couple is on the run from him because if he catches Anna, she will also be broken and used for his purposes. We see our characters experience historical events like Man's first landing on the moon, the India-Pakistan partition, the Tibet-China conflict and so on. With historical events in the background, we see our characters trying to resolve their own issues.
I liked the format, writing style and the refreshing story.
