The visible antagonist changes in this book, but the author does an excellent job of handling that transition while keeping the reader’s focus on the larger villain — Society. Which leads me to my favorite part of this book: the emphasis shown by the MC on preventing bullying, despite the rise in privilege he receives in this book. The social struggle is fascinating and captivating, and I am very curious to see what happens next.

Ugh, I suspected that this wouldn’t be the end of the series at around 60% and I am so depressed/elated that I was correct. I appreciated the flow of this one, the pace of its ups and downs. The deepening character development and the plot line is so good. I can’t wait for the next.

Objectively speaking: is this a good series? Not really. Plot points come up and then are ignored and never mentioned again, the lore is confusing at parts, some of the characters behaviour isn't really understandable. But do I care? Nah. I had a blast reading these and I'm looking forward to the fourth one.
