Definitely a unique way of writing nonfiction! I'd be interested to see what his other books are like...
Having some hesitation to learn world history but still yeah the impact and narration of this book never let me down. I think this is the 1st in Killing Series and excited to grab the other series as well.
I'm not a citizen of America and having no knowledge at all with life and death of Abraham Lincoln but Reilly and Dugard makes me one of the characters of history.
Tragedy and sadness which I have felt while reading life of Abraham Lincoln so I have to read some supporting books also which will unlock what happens to each of one of them especially Stanton, Baker, Surratt John and Booth.
Recommended for those who wants to read history in a thriller/mystery setup.

After reading Killing Kennedy and being bummed that I already knew most of what was in the book, I've now determined that I just am too much of a nerd to be surprised by books about the famous assassinations. I read the book Manhunt a while ago, which broke down Booth's escape in great detail, so I yet again found myself not finding out a whole lot of new info on that end. What made this better than Killing Kennedy, in my opinion, was the insight into what was happening in Lincoln's world BEFORE the assassination. Those details provided some context that I'd previously not known, plus I can't help but geek out about research on an event 100 years before Kennedy's death.
Bill O'Reilly may not be a great human being, but his books are at least entertaining.

Very interesting. I got a little sick of the prevalent dramatic "cliff-hanger" statements at the end of ever section. But I did like the way they addressed many angles and stories leading up to the famed assassination. I'm not a Bill O'Reilly fan, but it was an interesting and easy read. Definitely go for it if you are a history fan.
I really enjoyed this book, the way it's written doesn't feel boring. Once you get through the Civil War battles fluff then it really picks up and becomes a page turner!

Beyond the assassination of Abraham Lincoln by John Wilkes Booth (spoiler!), I don't know how accurate the events detailed in this book are, but it is an entertaining read. As a non-American, I don't really understand the hows and whys of the US Civil War, but the book made me feel immersed in the atmosphere of the times.
Interesting and fast paced. I learned a few new things. =)
