I really enjoy reading these books, as they bring back fond memories of my childhood. This particular installment was particularly intriguing because I am fond of characters with unique abilities. The story has a distinct 90s teen horror vibe to it, which is exactly what I am in the mood for at the moment.

It gave me major Medium vibes...RL Stine continues to son.

This 26th trip to Shadyside once again takes us on a supernatural ride. Communicating with the dead, red herrings, and a good twist ending make this seem like it could easily be adapted into an adult novel or movie. Stine steps it up as we follow Ellie and her pesky gift of visions which lead her into solving one of Shadyside’s many murders. I really enjoyed this one and although I had an inkling about the twist at the end, it was still welcome for the series. Can we get an Ellie spin off as she uses her visions to solve crimes? Stine? Bueller?

A lot better than the last R. L. Stine book I read. ( That being The Girlfriend). The Fear street books are always a fun quick read and a nice nostalgic trip down memory lane. The main character at first seemed a little to naive but it’s teen horror so.

3.5 - Ellie's apparent psychic ability leads her to find the grave of her best friend's sister, but the circumstances of her death are less than straightforward.

A nice, quick read.

I recently saw The Black Phone, and the main character's abilities in this book remind me of the main character from that movie.
