While the book moved at a slower pace than I would have preferred, I was fascinated by the story line and the perspective of both main characters - including the secrets they each had. While I had my suspicions, I was surprised at some of the pieces revealed at the end. It is a book I would read a part 2 of!

I was given the audiobook on ARC at Netgalley and in return gave my honest feedback.

Divertiu-me imenso este livro. Eu sei, não era suposto num thriller, mas... Estive com um sorriso nos lábios boa parte do tempo!!
Gostei bastante e ouvi-o num instante

This was my first time reading a book by the author. It was exactly what I was in the mood for… affairs, murders, and a good twist at the end.

Daniel Hurst has a new lifelong fan. This was such a solid psychological thriller. At one point I was beginning to think it was going to be a little dry for my taste but then I was hit with the twist! This was my first Daniel Hurst novel and I will definitely be diving into his backlist of novels. Fern was the perfect unreliable narrator. You really believe that her schemes are perfectly acceptable and warranted. The audio version of this book was amazing. The voice actors were perfect. The cozy British seaside village atmosphere was taken to the next level by the British accents of Fern and Drew! I would definitely recommend listening to this book to add a little razzle dazzle. (Yes, I’m American.) This was a dual POV for those wondering. I feel like the ending set the characters up for a possible sequel. I hope so!! The Doctor’s Wife is a perfect, fast-paced cozy British thriller! Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the audio ARC of this novel.

I was so disappointed with this book! While the premise is there for something riveting, it seemed like the author took the easy way out, leaving a lot of holes in his wake.

I loved how this book flowed. It was twisty and kept me reading til the end where it just got twistier. I highly recommend this book

DNF, they gave away the big secret 51% into the book and the stakes were too low to get jazzed.
