Least favorite of Alex Michaelides’ books. The characters weren’t very likable and there were storylines that made no sense in the overall story
(Ie. Henry). Also, I find everything with Sebastian implausible. A psychiatrist who is so wildly wrong about her husband?

This was definitely a good read, and I am glad that I picked it up. I do think that there were several red herrings in the story which by the end took away from the story’s impact. From my recollection, there were a few character storylines that were undeveloped and unresolved, which influences my rating. I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries and thrillers. My take away from this is reading classic literature, like the Ancient Greek tragedies, in the future.

I liked it. I feel like the author put a lot of red herrings in and it makes the reveal feel unfair. Not sure if that’s how it worked in the silent patient.

This books is incredible. It truly had me mesmerized, terrified, and on the edge of my seat from the very first page. A dark academics dream, I sincerely recommend this to anyone! Who doesn’t love a good who-done-it?

This is exactly what I want in a true crime novel. Beautifully done
