I really really enjoyed this one - I liked the movie and thought the book was even better. It seems like fluff when you start but he kind of throws out these things that make you think. My favorite line - "He put on the music he needed to listen to when he felt like this - the kind that found the sore spot inside and pressed up against it". Excellent!

You've probably seen the Nicholas Hoult/Hugh Grant movie. If you have, let me just say that the movie was expertly cast. The characters in the movie ring true to the ones on the page.

But the book is better than the movie. The double narration in the film maintains the books best feature: the main characters, Will and Marcus, take turns telling the story. And because the novel isn't dependant on a Hollywood ending, the story is more complex, and I feel more honest, sweet, and fulfilling.

I realize I'm gushing, but I thought the book was very very good.

Heartfelt, funny and introspective- I connected with this book in a way that I really wasn't expecting to when I started out, it's absolutely going in my favorites

I wasn't sure how much I'd like this, since I'm not usually a fan of fiction but I tried it because I remembered liking the film years ago. I actually liked it a lot! It wasn't hilarious but it was fun, and I definitely grew to care about the characters.

I really loved this book. I found it much funnier than High Fidelity. It made me laugh out loud.

Hornby really has a way of writing what’s in my head that always surprises me.

I liked the book's ending better than the movie. This is interesting because I liked the movie; it's one I own. Had I read the book first, I would not own this movie knowing myself and how upset I am when films deviate from the books. The movie was almost identical to the book until the end??? Anyway, 3.5 stars.

Quite fun read! :)
