ALL THE FREAKING STARS IN THE UNIVERSE. I don't have the words right now. I am blown away by this story and the revolutionary layout. I was sucked in to it and completely captivated by every aspect. If you haven't read ILLUMINAE yet, do it now chums!!! (I paired the print with the audio and it was absolutely perfect)

Basically if Bioshock were set in space.

This book made me cry, its so so good!! I'm so excited to read the rest of the series!

3.5; First 300 pages were interesting and exciting, then this quickly got boring and skimmable, plus I was annoyed by the sequel set-up.

This may be the single best YA sci fi novel I've ever read. It's THAT GOOD.

It's incredibly unique in its execution (a little House of Leaves-esque with some page formats) and has a strong story, with great characters to back that up. It's a dash of Amie Kaufman's other co- authored series, mixed with Battlestar Galactica and a pinch of Firefly/Serenity. It's graphic, and gross, and terrifying. But so so amazing. Give me book 2 NOW please!

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Excellent story told through found documents. I'll definitely read the next one. Caution: there are several F-words toward the end but all other profanity is bleeped out. Violence is mostly third hand(didnt feel too gruesome for me)
