I can’t believe it took me two months to read this short book. The book wasn’t bad but by its nature of being therapy sessions and the author was just working on problems and attitudes she’s had he whole life that will take time to work through, the book didn’t really have any forward motion. I didn’t feel the need to pick it up and continue. It felt mostly like one consistent note. Towards the end the book changed from the therapy sessions to the authors reflections on life, especially after starting therapy and I’m not sure how I feel about the change. I don’t well if it’s that I just like the therapy sections better or maybe by the end of the book I was just ready for the book to be over. I did like some of the reflections and thoughts the author shared and what the therapist shared, and I found a good portion of the book relatable.
The feelings Baek Sehee articulates seem to come straight out of my own head and heart. I learned a lot about myself.
