i think most of the stars i gave is bc how relatable it is to me. despite the absence of clear closure, the journey that it opened up through ending it with a wish is heartwarming enough as it is

I didn't vibe w the dialogue/transcript portions with the therapist. It felt very stilted.

The last 15-20% of essays felt overly verbose.

The insights overall felt fairly juvenile even though the author is only 1 year younger than me.

The "postscript" essay and the title were my favorite portions.

dnfing this book because it’s boring… i though it would be some profound book about therapy and depression. i only got 2 chapters in but it’s literally just conversations between the author and the psychiatrist. it doesn’t offer any substantial information on top of the conversations so it is just reading transcripts of conversations that jump all over the place.

I didn't rate this book because I didn't finish it even if it wasn't bad. I wanted to read it because of RM's recommendation, but it really wasn't the right time for me. I wasn't in the right mood to read about depression.
