After reading this book, I am still on the fence on whether I will read any more books from the series. When I have to tell myself to keep reading because I am almost at the end, it isn't a book for me.

Such a cute and fun light read! The humor is great, the romantic interests are sexy and the mystery is thrilling.

My sister has been telling me for years that Stephanie Plum would be a character that I enjoyed reading. I love my sister, but I was not impressed, and I will not be listening to or reading any more of this series.

I read this in one day so as few people as possible would see I was reading it. It's like James Bond for white women, both in terms of wish fulfillment and also racism. It's so racist. Unbelievably racist, even for saying it was published in 1994. It's also quite funny, unexpectedly dark and disturbing at times. Avoid it if you are at all sensitive to sexual or other kinds of violence and don't read it if you want intellectual content. Popcorn fiction with even less fibre than the snack.

DID NOT FINISH: 3%

I didn’t finish this because after trying to read it for 3 days, I always stopped after a page or 2 because I got bored and there was just another book that I wanted to read instead.
