One For The Money

I read this in one day so as few people as possible would see I was reading it. It's like James Bond for white women, both in terms of wish fulfillment and also racism. It's so racist. Unbelievably racist, even for saying it was published in 1994. It's also quite funny, unexpectedly dark and disturbing at times. Avoid it if you are at all sensitive to sexual or other kinds of violence and don't read it if you want intellectual content. Popcorn fiction with even less fibre than the snack.

DID NOT FINISH: 3%

I didn’t finish this because after trying to read it for 3 days, I always stopped after a page or 2 because I got bored and there was just another book that I wanted to read instead.

I have always avoided these, not sure why. But it fit for a reading challenge. I am surprised by how much I liked the character. Anyway, it is a quick, easy read.

I lovedy, love, love this series. These books are totally light and fluffy and only take a few hours to read. The characters are silly and over-the-top but for some reason, it just works. Also, these books never fail to make me laugh out load.

Great books, not Pulitzer prize material, but a lot of fun.

Not my thing.

I loved this story, getting to know all the characters that make up this series. It is a laugh out loud kinda book. She is trying to be a bounty hunter but she really is a push over. Fun story lines and lots of great tension with the men in her life. Love her grandma!

If you're looking for a quick, fun read ... The Stephanie Plum series is what you need!

A bit more language and mild gore than I like, other than that the plot was pretty decent.
