Laura is recently separated, pregnant, and needs time away from her home to have her baby in peace. She reunites with her high school love and the rest is history. If you like pregnancy, second-chance romance, and a divorced main character, you will like this book!

I liked but didn’t love this book, it’s likely one of my least favorite of Talia’s books. In all honesty, the main reason I didn’t love this was the main theme of pregnancy just is not my particular vibe. I think it would be a great book if that’s something you are into or if it doesn’t give you the ick. It was an easy read, and I enjoyed the second-chance romance part of it. I would recommend only based on specific vibes, but it was good as all of Talia’s books are, just not specifically my vibe.

Damaged Goods is my first Talia Hibbert book, and I didn’t know anything about it going in. Lo and behold, there are CONTENT WARNINGS! With chapter numbers! Oh my god every author needs to add content warnings in some capacity to their books, and when someone does with as much care as Talia Hibbert did it makes me so happy.

Anyway, on to the actual book review. I enjoyed this novella! I’m definitely more of a romcom girl than an emotional/tense romance girl, but the pacing was really good and it felt like a full story even at only 160 pages.

I don’t think this series is necessarily right for me, but I will definitely be reading more of Talia Hibbert’s books. Her writing style feels like a good match for me as a reader, so I can’t wait to read some of her more lighthearted books. 3.5 stars.

Never thought I would rate a Talia Hibbert book lower than a 4, but I had a lot of issues with this one.
