a disappointment, mostly because it was so insta-lovey it lacked the necessary context or buildup for devotion of varrik’s caliber, but easy to read, regardless. cinderella meets pretty woman, but ✨alien edition✨. nothing special, and easily skippable, but the characters are relevant parts of the later risdaverse books, so maybe just grin and bear it, for the sake of plot familiarity.
